This painting just sold at Western Oil Painters of America and I got the notice today.

The Painting that went to Spring, Texas, was changed from the pink spider lilies to red.

This is the email I received from Carolyn L. in Spring, Texas:

"I have never enjoyed spending money so much! Thank you for the pleasure of meeting you." Now, isn't that a fine and fun communicaton to receive. I loved meeting her and her sister and sharing a bit of life. Extremely nice souls.

By the way, my rotator cuff surgery physical therapy is going great guns. I can roll my hair now. Still a few problems, but my PT person is working that out. She and another physical therapist, came to the house with her 10 year old daughter for a tea party and a visit to the tree house studio.

Since my rotator cuff and tendon surgery I have sorely neglected you, blog. So very sorry

This is a painting I did just before surgery. Really can't explain it. Just having a bit of fun.

Rotator cuff surgery

For a month now have been in recuperation for rotator cuff surgery. The physical therapy is a toughie. And, will also start college this week. Will be interesting to see if I can make it with my arm in a sling and painting with it at the same time.

This is a day of getting the paper work done and nitty gritty stuff

Have been emailing a jerk that I finally realized was a SCAM. Was watching from the beginning, but this had a different twist. He finally said that he would write the check for more, cash it and give the over amount to the people who would pick up the two paintings. That finally was sounding like the scams I've heard of before. Just didn't get to this information until much other stuff had been agreed upon. EGAD, but be careful of these dudes.

Working on this painting

This is an entry into a Regional Show.

Been a long time since I posted anything. spend way too much time on the internet and trying to remedy that. Just Facebook, no longer Twitter or Linked In. And, not that much time on Facebook. Where oh where did those thousands of friends come from----all different nations and most of them painters. Some of the languages I cannot read or even determine what language. Just shows to go you that there are thousands and thousands of people creating.

Just learned yesterday that my two entries both got into INTERNATIONAL SALON OF CONTEMPORARY ART AT GREENHOUSE GALLERY. Looked back over the years and found that I got in the first year created with a figurative!! painting and every year since except 2010. Both of my paintings were still life.
